Hi, everyone. It’s me Colin, Director of Digital Communications at Grayhawk Golf Club. I’m going to try my hand at a somewhat regular Grayhawk blog that we call “Hawk Blog.”
My background and my passion are focused on the game of golf. I’ve been teeing it up since I was a wee lad just trying to get the ball in the air. Originally from Michigan, the incredible golfing weather in Scottsdale and the brutal winter offseason back home prompted my relocation.
I joined Team Grayhawk about a decade ago, doing everything from scrubbing clubs to running large golf events. Now, I’m heading up Grayhawk’s digital outreach efforts. I have a ton of cool gadgets at my disposal: an awesome website, a newly launched Facebook Fan Page, the Hawk Blog and our e-mail family. There are many ways to get plugged in to the Grayhawk experience, so get on it. There’s something in it for you, including tips on what’s up at our two terrific courses, inside the ropes information on great golfing events at Grayhawk, tour event buzz, and an occasional chuckle as I sound off about something that’s on my mind. We occasionally offer special perks exclusively to those who get on board: free golf, dining specials, merchandise special offers, you name it.
The plan is to share some thoughts on life, golf and having fun from the Grayhawk point of view. So, bookmark the site, or add us to your RSS feed so you don’t miss a single blog post. I hope you enjoy it.
Oh…and if you have comments, questions or topics you’d like to suggest, feel free to send them my way at groupgolf@grayhawkgolf.com. Fair warning though…if you’ve got questions about dating one of the cart girls…well…you’re on your own

Hi Colin,
I’m one of 12 guys from the UK getting to play Greyhawk (both courses) in late November, I was watching highlights from the Frys Open last night and didnt recognise the Raptor course having played there 4 years ago. Can I ask if there have been many changes to either course in the last 4 years as I do not recall there being so much water?
I’d be interested to find out?
John
In town for a week of business meetings and got chance to play your courses. Played GrayHawk Raptor on Sunday. Conditions were pretty good – not too hot and we had intermittent rain which amounted to a misting. Having not played the course before, I didn’t expect much (from my game). Got to Hole #13 (BurningBush) and the tee markers were only 176 yards (turquoise tees). I hit 6 iron which hit the green 5 feet in front on the flag and went into the hole for a 1! My first! Thanks to the GrayHawk staff for making it a memorable experience!

Atta boy Ryan…CONGRATS ON THE ACE! I just posted a Facebook congrats to you as well. Thanks for making Grayhawk part of your trip.

Hey Colin, I have been a Fan of Grayhawk since it opened..I live in Dallas now but will always rank Grayhawk at the top of my list for places to play golf when I am in town. I am the founder of the Mr Business Golf blog http://mrbusinessgolf.com and the Business Golf Country Club blog site http://bizgolfcc.com (which both sites are currently being revamped). I have written many times on how playing business golf at a facility like Grayhawk works out best.
Keep up the great social media and let me know how I can help.
